Abstract

World Christianity has changed profoundly since the last century. Two new Christian traditions or families of churches have come into being: evangelical and pentecostal-charismatic. The ecumenical movement and the evangelical-pentecostal-charismatic movements are contemporary and have common roots, but have developed largely in isolation from one another. The Global Christian Forum aims to create space where all the churches, those of the older traditions and the more recent ones, can meet to get to know each other, nurture relationships and address common concerns as well as issues on which they differ.
