Abstract
How are the pastoral agreements, made between the Churches in recent decades, received by the different ecclesial communities? Observation and theological reflection could re-energize these agreements and ecumenical relationships themselves. This article, while proposing this problematic, would first recall the theological principles underlying the agreements, and secondly, expose their content, before proposing a theological reflection that highlights pastoral needs, fundamental unity of faith, ecumenism as experienced in the Middle East, the ecumenism of the martyrs and a look to the future.
