Abstract
This article outlines the stages of digital transformation undertaken at the School of Translators and Interpreters of Beirut (École de traducteurs et d’interprètes de Beyrouth) before and after the COVID-19 pandemic in order to evaluate the changes that encouraged instructors to rethink the complex links between technology and translation teaching. This complex transformation would not have occurred without actions taken at the institutional level and the sense of urgency felt by all stakeholders in response to lockdown measures. By evaluating the strategy followed to see how successful it has been in creating the conditions for the acceptability of technology and in managing the resistance that hinders any progress, this retrospective aims at drawing lessons from past experiences in order to better envision the future.
