Thematic Areas
The subjects covered by the journal are determined by its four main sections: History and Tradition, Churches in Dialogue, Witness and Service, and Interreligious Relations. In addition to these articles, the journal includes chronicles, which are managed and written by the POC team of chroniclers, according to a specific framework that may evolve over the years.
Selection Process
The selection of articles takes place in two phases:
- Preparatory Phase: The journal's editorial policy is reviewed and approved annually by the editorial board and the scientific committee.
- Article Selection Phase: The article selection process, whether articles are submitted spontaneously or commissioned, comprises the following steps:
- The editorial team receives or commissions the article.
- The editor-in-chief submits the article to the members of the editorial board for an initial evaluation, focusing on the relevance of its publication in one of the four aforementioned sections.
- If the article is selected at this stage, it is sent to three experts for double-blind peer review.
- If the evaluation is positive, the editor-in-chief returns the article to its author for necessary content and form corrections, in accordance with the established writing standards.
- After the author's corrections, the article enters the editing process.
