Abstract
The Assyrian Apostolic Church in Iraq remains unknown despite the tragic events that mark the existence of this country. The author of this article is an eyewitness who gathered the words, thoughts and hopes of the Assyrian Christians residing in Kurdistan. She has faithfully revealed their religious identity in all its richness and their history in all its ambivalence as well as the current ethnic, political and economic challenges and the perspectives for an enhanced future, which enliven them.
