Abstract
As our country was once again torn by hatred and violence during the summer of 2014, I realized more than ever that a new ecumenical dilemma faces the disciples of Christ in the Holy land today. The Israeli army was bombing the Gaza Strip, Palestinian militants in the Strip were bombarding Israeli territory with rockets. Hundreds died, many more were wounded, so many more lives were shattered as even more oil was poured on the fires of hatred. Both Israeli and Palestinian political leaders promised victory!
