Abstract

Prof. Mouchir Basile Aoun’s book “Crossed Anthropologies. Essay on Arab interculturality”, is the subject of this article which exposes the challenges of interculturality in the Arab context and more particularly in Lebanon, facing modernity. The challenges of a double hermeneutical approach invite to a theological reform likely to overcome the traumas of identity of Arab Christianity and to go beyond the limits of Muslim religious thought in order to propose, through a cross-section of anthropologies, a plural space unified by an adapted concept of human rights.
