« À l’écoute de l’Orient » : Expériences orthodoxes de la synodalité

Abstract

These symposiums took place in Rome at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas (Angelicum) in November 2022, under the patronage of the Dicastery for the Promotion of Christian Unity and the Secretariat of the Synod of Bishops. Pope Francis has repeatedly addressed this vision, especially since the launch of the synodal journey at various levels of the Catholic Church, in preparation for the Synod of Bishops on synodality scheduled for October 2023. With the objective of exploring what the Catholic Church can learn from Eastern traditions regarding synodality, the Pro Oriente Foundation (Vienna) and the Institute of Ecumenical Studies at the Angelicum organized three international ecumenical colloquiums entitled « Listening to the East ».
