Abstract

La 15e session plénière de la Commission internationale mixte pour le dialogue théologique entre l’Église catholique et l’Église orthodoxe s’est tenue du 1er au 7 juin 2023, sous l’hospitalité du patriarche Théodore II à Alexandrie, en Égypte. La commission visait à conclure la nouvelle phase du dialogue initié par le document de Ravenne, abordant l’interdépendance ecclésiologique, l’examen historique du premier millénaire (document de Chieti) et la représentation du deuxième millénaire (document d’Alexandrie). Le document d’Alexandrie, fruit de sept ans de travail, a fait face à des défis, avec l’abstention du Patriarcat russe et d’autres patriarchats. Le document marque une avancée importante, ouvrant la voie à des discussions théologiques et canoniques ultérieures.

Piero CODA, Sophia University Institute near Florence – Italy

Professor Piero Coda is currently the Secretary General of the International Theological Commission, appointed by Pope Francis in September of 2021. He is Full Professor of Trinitarian Ontology in the Department of Theology, Philosophy and Human Sciences at Sophia University Institute near Florence, where he was the first President from 2008-2020. He is a Consultor of the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith and of the Dicastery for Promoting Christian Unity, and Director of the Interdisciplinary Center of Studies founded by Chiara Lubich.
