Submission Guidelines for Articles
Article Size
Articles should be between 30,000 and 40,000 characters, including all spaces, notes, and title.
Formatting
Do not use any stylesheets or predefined styles in your word processing software. The entire text should be formatted in Normal style.
Article Structure
The article should include the following elements:
- Title: Simple and transparent formulation in both French and English, and limited to 10 words.
- Authors: Full name(s), affiliation(s), and email address(es).
- Abstract: A concise summary of the article in both French and English (maximum 180 words each).
- Keywords: 5 to 7 keywords in both French and English.
- Main Text: The main body of the article should be divided into sections and subsections with clear headings.
- References: Citations should be placed in double quotation marks (" "). They should not be italicized (except for foreign language expressions). Punctuation used after a citation should be applied strictly after the quotation marks.
- Long Quotes: Long quotes of three lines or more should be placed in a separate indented paragraph (Times New Roman 10, 2 cm indent before and after text).
- Source: The source of the citation must be verified and complete:
- Books: Full first name, Last name, Title, Place, Edition, Collection, Year, p. (always one p)
- Articles: Full first name, Last name, "Title", Journal volume or issue number (Year), p. (without the p.)
- Id. and Ibid.
- Id. is used to refer to the same source as the previous citation but with a different page number.
- Ibid. is used to refer to the same source as the previous citation with the same page number.
Additional Guidelines
- Spelling and Punctuation: Authors should pay particular attention to the spelling of their text and to the rules of accentuation, including on capital letters.
- No Illustrations: No illustrations, tables, or figures.
Metadata
It is imperative to attach the following metadata to the article:
- French title of the article (max. 10 words);
- English title of the article (translation of the French title);
- Short biography of the author(s) of the article (max. 3 lines);
- French abstract of the article (max. 180 words);
- English abstract of the article (translation of the French abstract, max. 180 words);
- French keywords (5 to 7 max.);
- English keywords (translation of French keywords, 5 to 7 max.);
- The metadata in French will respect the rules of French typography (notably the use of French quotation marks "« »"; non-breaking spaces before double punctuation marks). The metadata in English will respect the rules of English/American typography (quotation marks "“ ”"; absence of spaces before double punctuation marks).
