Abstract

In the organizational environment, the concept of the psychological contract offers an important conceptual framework for understanding the employee-organization relationship in management. Furthermore, the psychological contract provides an in-depth reflection of the employment relationship and allows professionals to strengthen it for better management and sustainability of the relationship over time. Despite the multitude of research on the psychological contract, the literature lacks studies on the transposability of this concept in other fields than management. This article provides a solid basis to understand the concept of the psychological contract through the presentation of its origin, its definition, and its creation. It also proposes a study of the existence of this type of contract in the marketing field.
