Abstract
Management sciences are constantly evolving and therefore they are regularly enriched by new concepts. Thereby, the 1990s have been characterized by the concept of sustainable development and its corollary, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). As for the years 2000, they have seen the emergence and the development of the term “collaborative economy”, including the collaborative consumption in particular, but also the crowd-funding, the crowdsourcing, the co-working... In this article, we have chosen to focus on the transport sector. First, we will propose a review of collaborative mobility practices in developed countries, whether it is car-pooling or car-sharing. Then, we will identify the advantages of collaborative mobility for the Lebanese society. Finally, we will raise questions regarding the prospects for the development of car-pooling in Lebanon. Several hypotheses will be formulated and tested empirically.
