Abstract
This research proposes an international vision of the behaviors of obtaining and use of on line music. Our study relates to 215 respondents in two countries (France and Lebanon). The offer of on line music and the sites used to obtain music files are nearly identical in the two countries (Itunes, youtube, Deezer, torrents). The study attempts to show dimensions of the perceived value of the support (in particular economic, functional, social, sacrifice and hedonic dimensions) on the fidelity of use. Significant differences between the French and Lebanese users appear as for the importance of the exemption from payment of the source and with the statutory value of the illegal downloading. Although limited to a sample of suitability, the study emphasizes several important points which will allow complementary research.
